冬至 Dong Zhi - Winter Solstice

21st December - 01st January


Dong Zhi is the 22nd of the 24 solar terms in the Chinese calendar. It occurs when either of the poles are furthest from the sun. The winter solstice is the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year and plunges either pole into continuous darkness or twilight.


To Eat: Dumplings, red beans, lamb, rice cake, radish, wonton, tofu & goji berries.


To Do: Avoid raw/cold food, protect nose and throat from weakness by cold, ventilate the room, mindfulness, and get adequate sleep to boost yang energy.
